For many current Ride Leaders and Ride Sweeps it will be a refresher on roles, responsibilities and protocols, with emphasis on ride safety, route planning, and enroute ride problems, and how to avoid and handle. Current Ride Leaders and Ride Sweeps are encouraged to attend one of these training meetings to continue their qualification/certification.
Riders interested in becoming Ride Leaders or Ride Sweeps are encouraged to attend. For cyclists not regularly Leading or Sweeping this is the first of two steps toward becoming a Certified Ride Leader or Certified Ride Sweep.
Those planning on attending are encouraged to review the Riders, Ride Leaders and Ride Sweeps Handbook before the meeting.
