To all the would-have, could-have, and should-have riders who regularly, or even occasionally, ride on Monday from Barnes, YES, you should have been with us today! Without you, three stalwart and unafraid riders (Jerry, Jim, and Chuck) with me out in front, enjoyed a spirited and quick-paced ride to WAWA. The way back proved to be particularly satisfying as we upped the pace a bit and successfully outran the rain. You shuda been there!
There is one note of caution for everyone. There are now closed gates from the church parking lot onto the continuation of Rt. 203 that leads to WAWA. The gate we ride through upon arrival is still open. There is sufficient room around the gate posts where we can ride just a few feet on the grass. Be extra cautious leaving WAWA via the same route. Heavy shade makes it more difficult to see the gates when coming from WAWA.
