The club has launched a streamlined Leader‑Sweep online refresher training module and updated the Leader‑Sweep Training and Certification spreadsheet. To check your status, log in to the SLBC website, select RIDERS Handbook, and then click the Leaders & Sweeps tab.
If refresher training is required, please select the Leader/Sweep Refresher Training Module. The module takes only a few minutes to complete, and upon completion, the Ride Director will receive an email confirmation. This simple to complete module eliminates the need to take a 2-hour class every 3 years to maintain your status as a certified leader/sweep. The members who ride in your groups expect you to do all you can to make sure your rides are conducted in a safe manner. Staying up to date with your training helps meet their expectations.
This module is intended for currently certified Leaders and Sweeps only. Members seeking first‑time certification must attend a Leader‑Sweep training class, which is offered periodically by the SLBC Ride Director.
