Hearts for our Hospital Big Bike Challenge!
November 8, 2025
About
With an initial fundraising target of $325,000, the Hearts For Our Hospital Big Bike Challenge is the single largest fundraising activity undertaken by our Club! Working in partnership with UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital Auxiliary Foundation (UFHSPHAF), our club has an open-ended commitment to UFHSPHAF in achieving this goal. Through the completion of the 9th Annual Hearts For Our Hospital Big Bike Challenge in November 2024, we have raised $381,000, thus surpassing the fundraising goal of $325,000. As the November event grows in popularity, so do the contributions from our sponsors and riders. Congratulations!
The funds that are raised through the event are put to incredibly good use. About half the money raised is used to support the capital acquisition plans of UFHSPHAF in their support of UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital Auxiliary Foundation. The other half is targeted to scholarships and tuition assistance for area students pursuing post-secondary educational opportunities in medical or allied health related fields.
Where do the funds go?
